New GTA 6 gameplay leak claims Jason and Lucia can act as a team

The loudest new GTA 6 rumor says the game will not play like GTA 5 at all. Speaking on the Brands in Play podcast, YouTuber and TV host HipHopGamer claimed "the gameplay in Grand Theft Auto VI is completely different from every other Grand Theft Auto" because of "the AI technology that surrounds the game" — and that Jason and Lucia can actively work together during missions, rather than being two characters you merely switch between.

• Stealing cars, getting in and out of them, and everything you do inside a vehicle is far more intricate than in any previous GTA.
• Jason and Lucia cooperate during gameplay — the claim that most directly extends what Rockstar has already shown.
• The world is highly reactive, with events happening around the player that create gameplay instead of decorating it.
• Controls and responsiveness are tuned well enough to interest competitive and esports players.
• The game "wasn't just made for gamers" — there is an unannounced film and TV component. His words: "Imagine launching a movie campaign inside of Grand Theft Auto VI."
• DualSense support on the level of Astro Bot, plus PS5 Pro-specific features.

His boldest line, picked up by PC Gamer, is that GTA 6's user-generated content "will produce millionaires."

Where the claims touch real paper

The vehicle talk has an interesting echo. Take-Two patents found by players in June describe exactly this kind of minutiae: smashing car windows, reaching for door handles, working the gear shift, handbrake and pedals, checking mirrors, even continuing an animation when another car hits you while you are climbing in. Patents are not features and none of them name GTA 6, but the overlap with the "intricate vehicles" claim is real.

The co-op claim also grows out of material Rockstar has published itself — the trailers and every screenshot batch frame Jason and Lucia as a duo running robberies together. And an unannounced film and TV component sounds less outlandish in the month when Rockstar hands its biggest reveal to a streaming service first.
